KALAMAZOO, MI – Video crews from a new half-hour weekly TV show called John McGivern’s Main Streets were in Kalamazoo this past weekend to gather content for an upcoming episode. Kalamazoo was chosen as one of only two locations in Michigan for the show, which Discover Kalamazoo’s President and CEO, Jane Ghosh, says is quite an honor.

“When the Main Streets producers reached out, we were thrilled that they chose Kalamazoo as one of their locations to feature. We are so fortunate for the many wonderful people and places here that they were able to highlight and are very proud of the community we represent,” said Ghosh. The film crew interviewed several local business owners and area leaders, toured major attractions, and even engaged in some hands on and behind the scenes experiences.

The show is led by five-time Emmy Award winning actor, comedian and TV host John McGivern as he visits 13 main streets all over the Upper Midwest, traveling from Wisconsin to Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana, bringing entertaining conversations and fun facts that will no doubt lead to laughs.https://6af1fbfb93270d039f2e8a8b54ca5a9b.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html

John McGivern’s Main Streets strives to build goodwill and strengthen communities by telling the stories of diverse people as they live local and commit themselves to their main streets. The season will begin airing across the Midwest in January of 2022 and is produced by Plum Media out of Milwaukee.
